The Gottard Park Museum was founded by Alfio Gottardo who was fond of mechanical equipment and technology. He collected hundreds of vehicles, machines and other devices of all ages and from many countries around the world. There are many exhibits displayed around the grounds of the museum, as well as specific exhibitions of cars and other technology. Some eight hundred artifacts are spread over an area of seventy-thousand square metres. There are steam trains, aircraft, lorries, motorcycles and boats in the collection. Military equipment includes anti-aircraft guns, scout cars and artillery pieces.
