This meeting is hosted by the Schweizer Militär-Motorwagen-Vereing IG Oldie (Swiss Military Motor Car Club). The SMMV club was founded in 1992 with the objective of obtaining historical army vehicles that have been used primarily in the Swiss Army. It has its own vehicles, plus its members themselves have vehicles in all categories, producing a large combined fleet of vintage military vehicles. Each year the club takes part in numerous meetings, and sometimes is the co-organiser, such as with the 1996 and 1999 Convoy To Remember events.
The Militär-Oldtimer-Ausstellung (Military Veteran vehicle Exhibition) takes place on the grounds of the Mineralquelle company in Eptingen. It is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of veteran vehicles in the Swiss Army from 1940 to 1980, including tanks and special vehicles. It is an unusual meeting as it lasts for just a day, it involves only Swiss vehicles, and there is only one example of each model of vehicle. Snacks, refreshments and various other attractions are provided.
So far the event has taken place in 2007 and 2009.
