The Sturmgeschütz IV was an interim vehicle, mounting an adapted Sturmgeschütz III superstructure on the chassis of the PzKpfw IV Ausf H and J. It was produced from late 1943 to March 1945 by Krupp-Gruson of Magdeburg, and 632 examples were built.

New entry. This is a very unusual surviving StuG IV. It was displayed outside for some time with its distinctive Saukopf mantlet on the ground in front of it. The vehicle has since been disassembled prior to restoration.

Other Identification: German crosses previously painted on superstructure sides. Painted overall in a sand, green and brown camouflage scheme.

New entry. This StuG IV was found beneath a river bridge near Grzegorzew. Its superstructure was recovered in 2006 and its hull in July 2008. It originally belonged to 2 PzJgAbt ‘Brandenburg’. It was restored during 2008 and 2009 and officially presented to the public on 19 September 2009. It is in running order. It took part in the Old Timer Militaris event in May 2010.
