The SU-14-Br-2 was based on the earlier SU-14 and SU-14-1 SPG prototypes and was builtusing parts from the T-28 medium and T-35 heavy tanks. Only two of these huge SPG’s were built in 1939, mounting a 152mm M-1935 gun in a massive armoured casemate. At least one took part in the defence of Moscow in the immediate vicinity of the NIIBT polygon and this vehicle remains preserved at Kubinka today. The vehicle, measuring 10.00m x 3.37m x 3.56m is impressive for its sheer size alone.
