The Obiekt 266 was a projected development of the T-10, developed to prototype stage from 1955 and field trialled in 1957. The tank featured improved gun stabilisation and a hydro-mechanical transmission system-check. The tank did not enter series production, though the prototype remains on display at the NIIBT museum in Kubinka today.
