This is a new museum built on the outskirts of Caen. It covers the events of D-Day and the Invasion, and particularly the fate of Caen and Operation Goodwood, and also the liberation of Normandy and the rest of France. Amongst its many exhibits it has two tracked armoured vehicles.

The Grizzly was a Canadian built version of the American M4A1 Sherman. It is displayed inside near the restaurant in a very dark area, overlooked by a public gallery.
