This tank came to the Falaise Museum from the Saumur Collection (source: A.M.N. Schuit, L. Archer). The museum also has a separate Panzer IV turret on display, cut away to show its interior.

Other Identification: White triangle markings painted on turret sides. Some numbers are stamped into the transmission housing but they are difficult to decipher; a rubbing indicates “ABS No 880” or similar, implying a post-War French rebuild.

This Sherman is displayed with its turret facing to the rear.

This Panther was transferred from Saumur (q.v.) to M. Leloup’s collection (source: R. Fleming).
It was previously stored on waste ground at Saumur in very poor condition, little more than a hulk. It remains disassembled, and a mantlet for it can be seen on the ground in front of it.

This M8 is in a poor and rusty condition. It is missing its howitzer and other components, and its tracks appear to be on the ground in front of it.

This Sherman is little more than a hulk; it is missing its turret, transmission housing, tracks, parts of its suspension, and most internal components. It is likely being cannibalised to provide spares to restore other Shermans. It appears to have the remains of a Flak 88 sitting on top of it.

This M4A1 is in a poor and rusty condition, but appears largely complete. Its gun barrel has been cut short, which indicates it may have been acquired from a scrap yard or military surplus sale.
